Part II: Acting Tips 101

Irreverent Acting:
“Acting from the core captures beautiful irreverent moments”

In my 23 years of teaching acting, I’ve only known a few “naturally” Irreverent Actors. To name a couple, in the 90’s there was dramatic actor and action star, John Regala who was known for his acting intensity and dramatic portrayals. There was also Eruel Tongco, popularly know as "Gary Davies" from the Mother of All Philippine Soap Opera, "Mara Clara." Eruel (Gary) was so effective as a "kontrabida" that in real life, people were so mad at him. In the year 2000, there was Baron Geisler who is a brilliant actor where he can attack a scene and portray it in so many different ways. Each and every portrayal is unique and artistic. I’ve had the opportunity to train Baron in so many workshops from the time he entered showbiz up to trainings for soap and movie projects.

Beautiful acting moments are the ones that come from a point of irreverence.
